DAY 1: Ankara
The tour starts from the hotel or airport in Ankara. The first stop is the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the resting place of the founder of modern Turkey, who was responsible for revolutionizing the country and is still consàdered as a great national hero. After a lunch break at the Ankara Castle, we will visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, where we can see the masterpieces of 16 different Anatolian Civilizations. After visiting the Anatolian Civilization Museum, we will drive to Cappadocia.
DAY 2: Goreme, Avanos and Uchisar
Meet the guide and driver in the hotel, and start discovering Cappadocia`s unique landscape; our first stop is the highlight of the Cappadocian Region, the Goreme Open Air Museum where we will witness the living art of Christian and Byzantine history on cave churches. Then we will drive to Cavusin, an old Greek village to discover the civil architecture of Cappadocia. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Avanos that has been the centre of terra-cotta art since 2000 BC. After lunch we drive to Pasabagi or ‘Monks Valley’ to see the fascinating mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Then we drive to Devrent (Imagination Valley) to see different shapes of fairy-chimneys. Before returning to the hotel we will visit the natural rock castle of Uchisar.
DAY 3: Rose Valley, Mustafapasa, Soganli, Kayseri
After breakfast and check-out, we hike around 5km in one of the most beautiful valleys of Cappadocia: Red Valley. After the hike, we drive to Mustafapasa for lunch. After Mustafapasa we drive to Soganli, which is one of the earliest settlements of Cappadocia. After that, we will transfer you back to Kayseri Airport for an evening flight to Istanbul.
