Local Restaurant

At the start of the road to the Open-Air Museum, the Local has recently been renovated and now comes close to rivalling A’laturca and the Orient for the tag of Goreme’s best eatery. There’s an elegant dining room as well as an outdoor terrace with comfortable cane furniture. Vegetarians will be particularly enamoured of the menu here – it features delectable Turkish dishes such as zucchini with garlic yogurt (€4.50) as well as Asian favourites such as stir-fried vegetables (€5.50). All ingredients are fresh, prices are extremely reasonable and service is attentive.
